did I say that? Fact is new runways should've been built a long time ago.

Yes , but they weren't so we live with what we have now and therefore it takes time

Will21st Publish time 26-11-2019 01:10:46

should've ended your statement at 'Yes', cause there's nothing more to say. Complete shambles that is hurting our economy.

Politicians worry about getting elected. Not the economy.

Member 581642 Publish time 26-11-2019 01:10:47

The two aren'tmutually exclusive

Member 581642 Publish time 26-11-2019 01:10:47

In fact that makes no sense , the electorate vote for a mp so being elected therefore reflects the electorate .

Aren't MPs so supposed to do that

IronGiant Publish time 26-11-2019 01:10:47

I think (possibly) the point is if the MP is correctly representing his electorate, he's going to be representing their views rather than considering whether a runway on top of their houses is good for The City and the Economy.

You are correct in your summation

Blitzkrieg Publish time 26-11-2019 01:10:47

So long as people are given a fair price for their house and maybe new homes built identical to the ones knocked down for them to move in free of charge, not too far away, then i'm sure nobody would mind

Member 581642 Publish time 26-11-2019 01:10:48

No, some people invest in theirs homes more than money .
