They can't really be particularly religious can they ... with their involvement with drink/drugs/sex/prostitution/paedophilia?

I really don't think they use any interpretation of their faith as I don't think they actually care, and they choose to victimise those outside their community for various reasons including opportunity and prejudice.

I think it does come down to this, what they can get away with in their community.
Religion is as always just an excuse. That doesn't mean the excuse hasn't been used though, and as we've seen it is from all sides.

What agenda? Unless it is outrage at a huge number innocent young women having the most atrocious actions committed against them over an extended period of time by gangs of men you seem to know my mind better than me.This was/is at an industrial scale, and much like Savile completely unprecedented, as such gains similar ire and public attention.
Around the country we must be talking about 10's if not 100's of thousands of girls if the nudge nudge wink wink comments that are appearing everywhere, anecdotes from pretty much every poor (primarily northern) town that this is going on, and the blame is being spread far and wide, it is not just about Islam/Muslims but failings all over the place.
Mainly by middle class multicultural warriors whos own belief system seemed to trump reality, like a religion.

Denial comment was targeted at the Guardian, this must be at least their 5th such published article all with the same tac of Denial. If there is an agenda it is there you need to be looking.

They probably appear religious to family and friends who don't know what they get up to.

Like most abusers they use their cultural or religious backgrounds to hide their crimes or take advantage of prejudices from authorities to avoid prosecution.

Quite a remarkable commentary on events spelt out at Home Affairs select committee yesterday..

Keith Vaz was quite direct in his condemnation of South Yorkshire PCC Shaun Wright who refuses to resign.
Now seeking emergency law to get him sacked.

Chief constable, Meredydd John Hughes, who was deputy head of the force at the time, said he knew nothing of the Home Office research report and had no idea of the scale of sexual exploitation in Rotherham - and that is despite being there for 9 years

Vaz bluntly told Hughes that he found his evidence "totally unconvincing"

Apparently the force was more concerned with a war on the motorist and collecting speeding fines - an easy target, and doesn't touch ethnic sensitivities!
