True. Say what you like about Hitler but he was a conviction politician who stuck by his principles. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

It doesn't matter what way Jo Swinson votes, if there is a majority for leave, regardless of any votes/referendum we shall leave. That doesn't mean everyone will agree or support it.

Of course anyone can vote how they want. It's a little different when you are the leader of a party and making that your policy data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Nice sidestepping the issue.
It's an outrage that she calls for a vote and says she won't abide by it. If it were a leave politician you'd be all over this.
It's spectacularly poor political craft from the leader of the Libdems. She handled the question badly and has given the leave campaign plenty of ammunition to discredit those calling for a second referendum as being literally against democracy.

Pol Pot? Stalin? North Korea? "All stuck with their principles."
It doesn't, but that doesn't mean you should support it.
Remaniers keep saying they want another vote, if it turns out they still won't accept the result, what's the point? It's what I've said all along, why have a second vote if you don't accept the first one?

I don’t agree with the comment from Jo Swinson, but she’s not the first to say that people wouldn’t support a referendum result;

“In a 52-48 referendum this would be unfinished business by a long way. If the Remain campaign win two-thirds to one-third that ends it."

That was Farage saying a close result means that there should be a second referendum.
Jo is not accepting the result of even a second referendum.
Bit different.

LibDems - ever since they were formed they have been banging on about proportional representation. And yet as soon as we have such a vote they don't like the result and want to overturn it.
Cheers,

As I said, Farage was saying that “some people” would agree with a close result in the referendum, and would claim it was unfair.Pretty much what his company have done since they lost the Peterborough by-election.
Having watched the video again, she’s saying that she was elected on a pledge to keep the UK in the EU, and her own belief is that we’re better off in the EU.She said she wouldn’t support leaving, and wouldn’t vote to leave in Parliament.
It may not be very appealing to many people, but it does look like she’s actually standing by the pledge she made to get elected, which is a refreshing change.Considering 48% of the country voted against leaving, she appears to be democratically representing those who voted her in.

That doesn't mean he would demand we leave even if the vote was to remain. Just that he would still want to campaign to leave and have future votes.
Whereas Swinson has said she wouldn't support the result of the vote if it isn't remain.
