I'm referring to how he'd step down as UKIP leader.
Yep he was still an MEP. Oddly in other posts on here he's usually accused of doing little while as one. Now he was always an active untiring politician.
So are people living in the upside down here?

All I'm saying is he never stepped out of politics, he's kept himself involved in a number of ways, more so than any subsequent/preceding UKIP leader. This also doesn't mean he actually performed his elected taxpayer funded job properly as a MEP serving his constituents and attending the EUP.

He was still an MEP but he was not "in politics". He was preparing for life while not an MEP. More work in the USA, he left UKIP, etc.
If we had left, he would have stopped being an MEP, the brexit party would never have existed and he'd be gone from UK politics.

I've said numerous times, Farage had "practically retired." Technically he was still an MEP. He was still showing up to still give the EU grief sometimes.

So he’d retired, whilst still paid as an MEP, and didn’t actually retire, whilst still making speeches inside the European Parliament for YouTube?
Sounds pretty much like he didn’t leave politics for those whole 3 months, which he spent meeting people like Trump and Bannon, whilst also doing interviews deriding our US Ambassador, whilst at the same time saying he wouldn’t like the job, which he would really. To be fair, he probably did more in those 3 months then he has for the last 20 years data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

So he made a difference then ? I was led to believe not . That protest vote made a difference ? , only in it for himself ? ... All that time he was workingbehind the scene to get Brexit over the line. That's some commitment to the cause ain't it data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7. If only our elected MPs had that commitment.

Considering you were one of his fiercest critics and always saying how he and his party does little for the UK I love how you are now his biggest fan. Now you are defending how much he actually does. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
