Your claims that they are not farther right than the tories. That is what you're disputing, isn't it, when you asked this: "What is it about UKIP that you believes makes them 'farther right than the mainstream Tories'?".
I think the onus is on you to explain why don't think that, since my view is a pretty orthodox view. Obviously I could talk about libertarianism, anti- immigration, anti-EU, flat taxes, etc. And I've talked about the tories and the middle ground, and the coalition, etc. But everybody knows all that, that's common knowledge.
What's not so obvious is why anyone would think I was wrong in my assertion. So stop stalling...
Behind in favour of controlled immigration isn't a right wing policy.Neither is being Anti-EU.
A tax policy that proposes a huge increase to the tax free allowance making the lowest paid much better off isn't particularly right wing either.
So whilst UKIP are definitely a right if centre party, it is not clear what policies you were referring to, to make them right of the conservatives, unless you mis-represent their EU and immigration policies as right wing!
