Indeed.It would seem that a replacement is the onlyway to go at great expense.

I had an XFS Portfolio for a little over a year. I sold it because I found the suspension setup too hard and on 20" rims it was just back-breakingly uncomfortable after 30 minutes or so. Get a long test drive would be my first recommendation. I ended up hating driving it for anything but a short journey.
Secondly, 20" rims look awesome but crack easily. If you're stuck with 20", some Uniroyal Rainsport 3s will transform the car's grip and handling compared to the stock Dunlops.
I didn't run into any dpf problems, but mostly my commute was free flowing motorway.
Yes, timing belt needs doing at 112k.
It is a beautiful, beautiful car and I loved looking at it. It was a beautiful place to be inside as well. But check you're going to be comfortable in it before committing.
I've got a 2009 XF S premium luxury (model down from portfolio). Had it for 3 years now.
Unfortunately I've suffered both of the common faults with the XF. One being the Turbo actuator goes faulty and needs replacing (brings up restricted performance mode on the dash), the other being the radio not getting reception. I've had the actuator replaced but not wasting another £700 on a new head unit from Jag to sort the radio out.
So slightly disappointed that I've had two common faults that Jag have not done anything to fix via a recall. Other than that I'm more than happy with the car. I've got black wheels and tinted windows so it looks pretty smart. The 3ltr diesel engine is superb too.
Hoping to keep it for a while longer as can't afford to get a newer one yet, but if I ever can afford a replacement it will definitely be another Jag. If I won some money it would be the 5ltr supercharged version, but that's pie in the sky at the moment!

I read that, if possible, get the 19" as the 20" rims adds to a rougher rider. However, since there's only 1" in it, i don't know how much of a difference /better in comfort that will be except in the pocket maybe. I can remember the jags of old being extremely comfortable ( as if i was in my bed data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7) and the XF i was in was very nice and a smooth ride.
If it cost £700 for radio head unit, I may as well consider installing a new radio altogether if its a viable option
5L SuperCharged- I 'll loose control of my right foot, get arrested and loose my licence by the end of the day. So best not to think about that
You can get cleaning treatments for DPFs now.

Do BBA Reman touch these as they seem good at fixing other stuff automotive themed.
Not that I've found scouring the net. Just searching for Jag XF radio problem on Google shows many similar stories with the only fix being a new £700 module.
Is this problem only happening with DAB or all radio functionality i.e FM and cd as well?
No DAB in this age XF.
I get no AM at all and only 2 or 3 FM stations can ever be found. CD works fine, as does iPod.
