Find another specialist. If the one you have found wants to charge the same as the main dealer, he’s expensive.

I can only echo what the others have said, if you don't ask you don't get so worth a try. I had an issue with my car just after going out of warranty and it was sorted to my satisfaction although it was only £700 on the table.
What totally baffles me is you bought a car with 94k on the clock that was in essence 9 months old for not an insignificant amount of money. That's approx 2400 miles a week, did alarm bells not totally deafen you? That car will have been hammered to death as pretty as it may still look after a wash and polish.

He bought it in June 2017, that's not when it was first registered data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Also if it was only 9 months old it would be the bargain of the century at only 16.5 grand. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

So true, fair point.

...and to be fair to you, he never said how old it is. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
