Thanks IG
I have the plate from the uncompressed file, can the owner be found from this online anywhere?.I know you can fill in some form and give the reason why you want the information.Id like to give them the opportunity to view before proceeding down the legal route.

Not sure, I'd just hand it over to your Insurance company and let them deal with it.

Difficult one that.

If it were me and I could see that beemer coming already I would have let it through before going passed the parked cars. Although on the video you can’t really gauge the size that you would if it were live.

But, there was enough room, the Beemer should have been further over. Some people just aren’t aware of what size car they drive.

Personally I'd be too embarrassed to even ask this question. You approached a conflict situation where both of you have parked cars to deal with. The BMW takes up position to safely pass the white van before he reaches the bus stop giving you ample time to assess the situation and hold back just as the fiesta following the BMW did for you. Once the BMW was positioned to pass the van it's direction doesn't change. You should have correctly anticipated the reduced space and held back. The BMW clearly arrives at, and deals with, the start of the constriction BEFORE you move out to pass the vehicles on your side. Once you moved to the right the collision became much more likely.
On a UK driving test you would have been awarded a drivers fault (used to be minor fault) for forward planning even if the collision had been avoided.
Not sure why there's so much mentioned of the centre line, door mirrors are more solid than some paint. I would like to think this was a lesson learnt but you have (allegedly) been led to believe that the insurers would agree with you?
I suspect you have a surprise ahead.

The cammers fault for me, the other car even pulled over to his side of the road before they passed.

The BMW treated 2 vehicles parked 20 yards apart as one constriction. Instead he should have pulled over to the left after passing the van.

Yes you should have avoided the accident with forward planning but the BMW is at fault and you will win your claim IMHO.

I had an almost identical case at work and we won. And in that case the TP stopped to exchange details. So your case is stronger here.
