I remember as a young lad watching the masters on TV, one year some yellow haired fella was hitting birdies all over the back nine. I thought it was Greg Norman, My dad, god bless his soul didn't have the heart to correct me. Turns out it was the great Jack Niklaus winning his 18th major.
I have seen Tiger twice live, oncein 2006, and again in 2014, the second time I thought he was finished, felt a bit sad for him tbh.
He went further downhill, nothing seemed to work for his back, and then there was him getting arrested etc.....
Now back to why i mentioned Niklaus, that 1986 Masters is probably one of the greatest ever major victory's.But for me this has to be up there. Mentally and physical Tiger went to the depths over the last 5 years or so and to come back in such a way and win his 15th Major is the stuff of legends.

I like it better when there's birdies available, definitely not the traditional US Open style this year.
Great start from Rose, but a bunch well within touching distance.
It's been a good start with loads in contention. If McIlroy can take some of the chances he's creating today he could be up there with Rose.
Playing tougher today, cut looks like1 or2.
Would be nice to have a McIlroy and Rose Sunday showdown.
