First ep gave a good representation of that.

this episode is a grim warning to optimistic but mistaken fools who think they are capable of handling child rearing with some modicum of proficiency. we know we are dealing with characters that are morons because they inexplicably allowed a second child to pop into existence when clearly already unable to cope comfortably with the first, also not unheard of in reality. classic breeders.

now i suspect things will get warm and fuzzy by the end, as the show gradually departures from what is a very accurate initial portrayal and deeper into fantasy land.
