I went by the other reviews which shouted that it was a masterpiece. It clearly isnt!!. The concept is unoriginal. The core idea in this film is to eventually converge three stories in the end to reveal a tragic story of the lives of people from different strata of the society. These kind of concepts are already attempted beautifully in the past. People who have seen Alejandro Gonzalez's Amores Perros & Babel should avoid this movie like a plague as it doesnt do justice to the concept of the movie. The story is illogical to great extent and drags a lot with a loooot of unnecessary scenes which are extremely painful to watch and does not evoke any sort of feelings inside you. Audience have to watch it with deadpan expressions (just like fahad faasils "acting") for most part of the story narration..The three independent stories do not converge untill the last 1 hour of the movie. There is no jump cuts and hardly any intelligence shown by the movie maker to weave these stories or attempt any interlocking of story narration. The only story worth narrating was the vijay sethupathis story which evokes a beautiful & innocent relationship between a father and a son. Instead of narrating three stories they could have made a movie about vijay setupathis story. And its is almost an 3 hour movie and you wish when will the movie end. I could feel that the movie was not worth watching within an 60-70 minutes but invested my rest of the time just to get it done with. Regret watching it. What kind of intellectual bankruptcy in story writing can include an extraterrestrial alien in the story. Yes aliens in the movie. I mean what the hell! really!. And too much of unnecessary philosophy over individuality, idol worship, life in general. Cannot understand how people like ramya, samantha, vijay got sold to the story. The references for star wars is completely pointless and out of context.
