It is a good work in the sense that it does not let one side of the story predominate the narrative. Documentary-drama mix is satisfactory to inform. On the other hand, it made me feel that the production crew was overwhelmed by the possibility of being perceived on the side of Ottomans. Religious elements are kept at the minumum level and any success by Ottoman side is either attributed to contingencies or the focus is on the contributions of individuals who have non-muslim origins. I may be biased to have this conclusion but it really bothered me while I was watching the show. Acting performance is not great too to be honest. Though the main characters are played fairly, some of the side characters' performances are really disappointing.
