A epic sprawling film from sam Mendes  capturing the horrors of the first world war  from the perspective of two young soldiers sent on a perilous  journey to save british troops walking into  a ambush brilliantly  filmed acted brilliantly  not a massive war time movie fan but this is a good good movie you can only.imagine the fear two young guys had fighting in this barbaric first world war and that comes across directed by the always great sam Mendes it's well worth a watch ....10/10
