Hi there,

I have just been given (present) a new 4K Apple TV to replace my ageing and no longer supported 8 year old ATV2.

Whilst setting it up wasn't an issue, I have got an issue when it's time to 'sleep' the Apple TV.  Despite having CEC on our LG SJ800V TV switched 'off' and the similar setting is 'off' in ATV, every time I put the ATV to sleep this also turns off the TV?

The bizarre thing is - if I use the ATV app on my iPad this doesn't switch off the TV when I put the ATV to sleep.

It's quite bizarre as there aren't any other settings I can alter.  I did try switching inputs before hitting the 'ATV remote' to initiate 'sleep'.  However, this still puts our TV to sleep.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening - I'm stumped.

I think I have found the answer myself.  In the CEC settings on the LG TV there is a sub menu - auto power sync on/off - this was still set to on.  However, given the primary Simplink CEC switch was set to off this should have been enough - apparently not.

Now I have auto power sync switch set to 'off' the ATV is no longer switching off the TV when put to 'sleep'.  Funny thing is I have lot's of other devices connected to the TV and none of them have exhibited this behaviour.
