I would like to get a set of Pass Through power adaptors and have seen the following.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01N3YCC7R/ref=s9_acsd_simh_hd_bw_bT8eUh_c_x_w?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-3&pf_rd_r=39YK1H90GC7CEN1FWRWQ&pf_rd_r=39YK1H90GC7CEN1FWRWQ&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=4beab36a-596e-5d53-872c-9d7502d50870&pf_rd_p=4beab36a-596e-5d53-872c-9d7502d50870&pf_rd_i=430576031
But as I need three adaptors would it be possible to get a single adaptor that I could use with this set.I have sent a message to the seller of this set asking them about getting a single adaptor and am waiting a reply.

Powerline networking is a standard so in theory every brand and unit should work together. There were some issues in the early days though, so I don't know how much they've improved.

I had a quick look but Netgear only appear to sell that model in a two pack.

Maybe I should look for brand that sell singles as well as sets of two.
Could you remind me how they are set up.I believe the following to correct can you confirm this. The router is downstairs and we have two laptops upstairs but with no phone socket.I think I should plug one adaptor downstairs near the router and connect them with a ethernet cable and then plug the other adaptor upstairs and connect that to my laptop with another ethernet cable and then press the pairing buttons on both adaptors. If l can get another adaptor I can plug it in near my wifes laptop and use another ethernet cable to connect them.Is that procedure correct.Thank's

That's correct, although if the laptops are in the same place upstairs it'd be a lot cheaper to be a network switch and connect them both to the same powerline adapter (or a powerline adapter that offers a pair of ethernet ports).

When pairing I would do that in the same room - in fact for the pairing a power board so they are next to each other is probably the best way to do it.

Then when you move the receiving unit away and it doesn’t pair you aren’t  assuming it is broken and swapping for new. Occasionally seperate circuits does seem to mean these don’t work regardless of what the packet says. Best to pair on the same power socket I have found.

If your wifi is ok you could consider the wireless repeater types with one or two ethernet sockets. No sending unit required but they make up for that in the price of the one unit you plug in where required.

I use these currently arount the house. Cheap as chips, can be bought in singles. Just checked the utility and its reporting 528Mbps over 3 floors.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00VQ8PNZC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Remember, Qualcomm and Braodcom dont play together so dont mix the chipsets.

Yes just buy 3 and they connect up just fine. There is a button on them to press if you want to secure the connection. You can download the application on your PC to monitor/restart them ect.
