Gapless Bluetooth transmitter?

Hey folks, some time back I purchased a TaoTronics Bluetooth transmitter to listen to movies with Sony Bluetooth headphones.

It was a little rechargeable unit, and in an effort to save battery life (my guess) it would put itself into standby immediately with no strong audio signal - for example, quiet scenes in movies - and come back on again when it returned. There was no way to adjust the sensitivity and the constant on/off cycling between dialogue was completely distracting. I've since misplaced it so can't do any more testing.

I'd like to purchase another Bluetooth transmitter to connect to my AVR. Possibly mains powered? Any recommendations?
