Hello,

I have recently purchased a Gigaset SL450A GO single handset like new on an Amazon Warehouse deal. I cannot get the device to register with the base station.

I have tried many times holding the blue button on the base station down whilst going through handset registration process on the phone handset. I have also tried uplugging the power, holding down the blue button whilst plugging power back in and holding for more than 30 seconds to reset the base station as suggested online. Nothing works.

Support not open till tomorrow. If anyone with any experience with this item could point me in the right direction that would be great.

Thanks

Are you releasing the base station registration key after 3s?

Yes.

It registers fine to a Panasonic base that it was supposed to be replacing. So nothing wrong with the handset.

This video seems to suggest putting the phone in pairing mode first.

Just re-reading the OP in conjunction with the Panasonic reference & maybe I've misunderstood. Is this an additional handset for a Gigaset system you already own or a complete "new" single handset system? If the latter then it should already be paired which together with the Warehouse deal would make me think it's a faulty return.

This a completely new single handset system. I just tried connecting my Panasonic back up again and pairing it with my Panasonic to see if it would pair with another base station. I'll try calling Gigaset tomorrow to see if they can shed any light but yeah it does seem like a faulty one to me.
