Hi all got a question on CCTV DVR, i have a Zosi H.264 HD 1080p DVR with 1080p camera.
my problem is with dvr it records cctv footage in random short lengths couple of minutes each?, but the gap between these lengths are always missing 2 seconds. so i cant reconstruct in video editor is this common problem or just my DVR?, or is there a setting i not found as yet i could change?, any help advise welcome

How many cameras into how many inputs? I haven’t checked any instructions but is there a setting (or two) that sets it to record these intermittent length shots form more than one camera? Is there a setting that sets it to record all connected inputs at one time on a ‘split screen’? Motion sensors used?

Ok now I have checked that link and it seems to show how to record any or all connected cameras all the time in a split screen - as I would expect?

So have you tried manually setting and selecting the inputs you what the record 24/7 as shown in the instructions? Is it then not doing as it should? If so you will need manufacturer support or warranty return to wherever you bought it I suggest.

If as per my last couple of sentences you have done that according to the instructions, and assuming you have gone through the whole menu in case there is answering that affects this operation, you need to contact the seller and start a process to sort it under warranty.
