7.1 headphones with hdr support

Hope you can help here.  I have a pair of Sony mdr-hw700ds surround headphones and a shield tv.  I split the signal from the shield to a splitter (4K hdr) which then goes to my headphones and my 4K hdr amp.   Because the headphones receiver box doesn’t support hdr I’m losing hdr support from the shield.  Are there any headphones out there now that support Atmos and hdr signals?

To confirm, it’s shield to splitter box, then one side to amp and the other to headphones?

If so not sure what the headphones have to do with it? Sounds to me more like an issue with the splitter box.

Yes that’s correct.  When I plug in the first connection from the shield to the splitter it works fine. When I connect the headphones to the splitter it loses support for hdr.

I’m assuming splitter boxes only run at the lowest setting available of the devices connected?

I’m not familiar with splitter boxes but wouldn’t have thought that was how they worked, but clearly is in your case. Hopefully someone else more knowledgeable in this area be along to offer some help.
