Where can I get cheap batteries?

So I need a battery that is about 2kwh or down to 900wh for my drone (I know it sounds weird but I don't want my idea stolen so im not saying what it is
)
can anyone recommend any website for batteries or just a battery?

I see you have dollars but seem to be in the UK

Try this mob - they should at least be able to discuss what is around. You may need to clarify the voltage and Ah ratings you are after that gave you the sizing you mentioned here

What voltage, how many cells, what discharge rating, thin wall or thick wall...

You will need to be a little more specific with your requirement. Running a 6S - 22V battery setup, that's still 90A to give about 2Kw/hr. A single 8Ah battery is about $50, so you are looking at about $500 for the 10-11 battery packs - and that's without the balance chargers, wiring, protection etc.

I would go and talk to Tesla or Arrival if you want batteries at that level, as you are getting into traction battery territory. You can get lower discharge rate batteries designed for solar power storage - and these may be a little cheaper, but they won't be suitable for drones, as the peak discharge current is unlikely to be high enough.

Yup, if they were that cheap then a 200 mile electric car battery pack would cost just 1,500USD rather than 12,000USD.

Looking on Nkon which is the sort of supplier you'd buy a couple of hundred cells from, 400USD looks like about the right price for 2kWh of Lithium cells.

Depending on your other requirements (weight, power output, etc.) then you might be able to reduce that further by going for a different battery chemistry like lead-acid. Perhaps to around 200USD. Maybe a hundred if you dropped down to 900Wh.

If you want 2kWh for 50USD I suspect you're going to have to investigate sources of second hand cells.
