looking at car rental.
arriving at midnight so was planning on a transfer then rent from the town, but the prices are just massive. if i pickup at the airport its like £40 for the week, whereas it's £150 renting from the town for a few days!?
just didnt want the stress of trying to find the place at night but might have to
anyone else notice this, any ideas.
any chance of getting a deal walking into a place?

Have you already travelled? If not book ahead, really don't understand what the problem is.

How about returning to the airport the next day - if cost of the additional transfer or bus fare or train fare or cab fare (as applicable)< rental price?

i ended up booking a car for pickup at the town. payed a premium to do that though.
next time i'll just book and pickup from the airport. the reason i didnt this time was the out of hours fees etc
