we were lucky enough to get a sea view room and the full deluxe package which was amazing...
it started off with a champagne and canape reception when we arrived...
tho, due to the lateness of the season (last week it being opened)- there were some restaurants closed but we never had any complaints... the hotel itself looked old from the front, but the inside was spot on...
we had a very lazy week and spent most of the time on the (private) beach recliners and having cocktails there we delivered to us... this normally started from 11:30am...
it was warm and sunny - typically around 25-26 degrees with a slight breeze
we alternated between the ala carte restaurant and the buffet for our evening meals - but I was normally still too full from the breakfast and the afternoon snack...
there was a nice walk from the hotel to the harbour along the sea front that took around 45 minutes - tho, the harbour wasn't anything special, and the old town is being refurbished (roads ripped up and most of the shops closed in prep for next year)...so, with that - it's a great place to stay if you have a decent hotel and are happy to stay there - we normally explore the but had no desire to do so this time...
