Hi guys,
I visited London in Winter and thought it may be of some use to anyone who was planning on something similar.
Firstly, if you are from the south, like I am (South Africa), it will be a cold that you have never experienced before, so be sure to pack thermal underwear and layer upon layer. A good pair of gloves are also really important.
I would still highly recommend it as all areas are centrally heated, so the only time you are cold is when walking around, which you will do, of course, but a lot of attractions are indoors, like the museums, london eye, Madame Tussaud, theatre shows etc.
We stayed in East London at a new, little hotel called Qbic. I really liked it. It was close to a station that went pretty much everywhere. |
