Having just come back from Italy, a few things to consider...
It is still very hot out there, will this help or aggravate her condition? Coastal areas are good, but inland it can still be stifling during the day.
Does your accommodation have aircon? This again might give her some respite.
Italian state hospitals are not a great place to end up in and private healthcare is expensive and may not be covered on your insurance.
No doubt the trip through the airport will involve quite a lot of walking - unless you can arrange assistance.
The flight probably presents the fewest problems, as most airlines carry emergency oxygen for passengers in respiratory distress.
Will she be clear of all antibiotics by then? If she gets the all clear to fly, then I think I would go, but get clearance from the insurance company. Also make sure you have your EHIC cards just in case! |
