Anyone taken their kids to dubai for holiday? Found a couple of good deals, one of which has children facilities in the hotel but is it really suitable? They would be 4 and 7. The hotel would be all inclusive so would spend most of time there and maybe trips to Lego and water park

Hi,

With kids, I would personally go elsewhere but if as you say, you will be spending nearly all your time at the hotel & only venturing out to the Water & Lego park then it might be ok - just depends on how long you will be going for.

Most trips to Dubai are marketed as mini breaks that only last for a few days & imho, for very good reason - I wont go into it too much here you have to remember that despite the heavily marketed glitz & glamour, it is still a very conservative place in many ways.

Suave.

Don't have kids but in principle don't see what the issues would be.

The hotels we stayed at weren't family friendly but when at the waterparks - our hotel chain had their own plus we went to a second larger one - there were plenty of kids. That said, they were more well behaved, not running riot etc so very different experience than a couple of more recent hotel stays.

Have to say I can only remember older kids on the beach but trying to avoid the sun I spent most the time in our cabana or in the sea so there may have been littler ones and I just didnt see them or could be the fact that the hotel wasnt kid friendly so the adjacent private beach didnt have many.

If you are more interested in a beach holiday than I recommend one of the other Emirates like Fujairah, where we spent a nice week. From there it is easy to do some trips to Dubai. But you should not miss some of the interesting points there. If you like you can have a look at our experiences.
