Paris in October: What is the weather Like?

I'm going to Paris in October, can anybody tell me what the weather is usually like and whether I should back for cold\wet weather or mild\warm weather?

We're staying on a boat and doing most of our tourism on foot.

Same as in the U.K., it could be nice but most like will be grey and wet and windy. Enjoy
