Anyone been to Bang Tao Beach area of Phuket? Never been to Thailand and going with wife and two young daughters at the end of this month. Any tips on trips that will suit children. Planning on going to Phuket Elephant Santuary (the ethical one!). Would Phi Phi Island and James Bond Island be too dangerous a journey for a 2 and 10 year old?

OOOOH  Late reply

We loved Koh Samui, so many fantastic areas to visit and see the sights. Hiring scooters was the best thing we did and highly recommended to anyone who wants to see parts of the island you would never normally see.

Bang Tao beech two weeks ago

We go every Feb for a week or so. Brother in law has a villa in Laguna and this is our favourite beech, absolutely stunning place. Water is clear and warm and the beech is like that most of the time so very relaxing.
Phi phi island/James bond island are very commercialised and most trips there cram as many people into the boat as they can. You will have hundreds of people arriving at the island at the same time, so very very busy. We hired a long-tail boat for 6 hours to ourselves and it cost us £100. Took us wherever we wanted to go
We stopped off at banana beech, which was quite nice

Oops.  Too late I guess but I always change money over there.  Better rate every time.

Never do it here.  Especially in the airport but you knew that already right
