I Have just come back from 3 weeks traveling round Thailand and you may want to look at the resorts around the Hua Hin area. Lots to choose from and the town has nightlife, Shopping mails, Night markets & lots of good restaurants if you get board with eating in the resorts. I stayed in the Hilton which has the main part of town behind it but there is lots of resorts spread up and down the coast line.
There is plenty of excursions you can do Bangkok is excellent to do a few days in, either at the start or end of your stay as the airport you would fly to is local.
Highlight of my trip was phra nakhon cave that is about 1 hour south by car.
As stated by someone else on this thread that Thailand will be very hot at the time of year you are looking at. I don't like it too hot so November was the best month for me as it was 25 -34 degrees while I was there. |
