The filmmakers never get in the way of the subject's musical journey. A straightforward reminder of a glorious voice and why Linda Ronstadt was the beloved Queen of her Scene. With the rare grace to never crave her own reflection, the film exposes much of what makes Ronstadt, once the embodiment of Southwestern cool, such a remarkable National treasure. The audience, to my surprise, shared both tears and cheers. Naturally smart, heartbreaking and a voice from the Gods - no wonder it had legs.
