This guy was a multiple CART champion until his awful accident at the Lausitzring,which almost cost his life,in 2001.
He then got himself back behind the wheel of an adapted car and completed the final 13 laps of the race in 2003 at speeds of nearly 200mph,and went on to race in the WTCC.
Now he's a gold medal winner in the Paralympics.
That's worthy of it's own thread for a man who just doesn't give up.
It's fitting to take a win on a racing circuit,and I think he's a superb example of someone who's just driven to win,no matter which sport he's competing in,and as you say,comes across as a genuinely good guy.
His book,"Alex Zanardi,My Story",is also worth reading.
