Put it this way, it would have hurt (a lot).

I hope he sorts his life around this time.  It was a shame to see him end his career again with a defeat.  He still had a fantastic career though.

Wow that's ironic isn't it?? For most of his career he wins by body shots and now that's how his career ends?? In his peak he was a truly amazing fighter!!

He wasn't that good yeah he had heart and had a body punch however technically he was a very poor boxer IMO.
The only reason some think he was an amazing fighter is the fact that he is British and the media love a British boxer for the PPV. He makes no great shakes out of the uk.

Respect the man hugely but never a great fighter IMO.

I suppose it depends on how you look at it, he was never greatly skilled, but I would say great in the exciting fights he gave us in his prime. You knew what you were getting with Ricky and I used to love watching him before it all fell apart.

Lets remember he beat Kostya Tszyu, could be argued Tszyu was past his best but nobody was saying that before the fight and it was a thriller.

I think of Hatton as a great, a great entertainer both in and out of the ring and sadly missed.

Wish him well and really hope he moves on better from this and focuses his thoughts and efforts on his training/promoting. Hopefully looking back at the tapes and seeing the response of his fans even after defeat he'll take some positives from that and realise just how loved he is by the public. Can't say that for many fighters coming off three crushing defeats.

I think people actually forget how good fighters are if they haven't done anything in recent years. Ricky Hutton a poor fighter back in the day? GET OUTTA TOWN!! Lol

Hi,

I am proud of Ricky & wish him all the best - he had great heart & never ducked or cherry picked his fights. I am sad this has happened for him as it would have been amazing for him if he could have made a comeback but he did put his body through a lot over the years both in & out of the ring.

I think is was a great British Champion & has achieved great things - very proud of him!

Suave!
