Hah - short memory you Llanelli boys. It's only a couple of seasons ago the Scarlets were going through the mill. Looks like the Blues' turn this season.

Of course - none of us really know what competition(s) and/or league(s) the regions will be playing in next year...

As an aside, I see that well-know modest, mild-mannered, sportsman, Austin Healy has put his foot in it again courtesy of Twitter! What an idiot!

Very good game, although the penalty count was way too high - England gifted Wales all of their points. On the positive side they created most of theirs. Still unconvinced about Nowell and May though. The former keeps making silly mistakes and the latter doesn't appear to know what direction forward is. They were both responsible for losing possession and conceding penalties on multiple occasions. At least Nowell seems to have remembered how to catch!

Odd championship this. To think that England could be on for a Slam if not for a few wobbly minutes in Paris (can't see them losing to Italy). As long as France don't win it I'll be happy. They've been pretty poor and lucky to get the results they have. Ireland and England have played the best rugby, so either of them will do (although obviously i'm an England supporter).

Austin Healey lets himself down everytime he opens his mouth. His rants just goes to show how incredibly stupid he actually is. As an ambassador for rugby union he's about as welcome as a dose of clap. Plenty of quality rugby pundits on the box from all the home nations that don't need to stoop to shallow almost racist comments on the Celtic nations.

Well done Ireland.

Thank you very much Brian O'Driscoll. It's been an absolute pleasure. The game will miss you.

Diolch yn fawr.

So pleased for the great man!!! He is a proper role model and professional that would put many a pro-footballer to shame!

Brilliant stuff, now for Paddys day on Monday!

Just heard that Sam Warburton has dislocated his shoulder and will be out of the game for several months. What a shame that Hogg had a rush of blood to his head. Scotland would still have lost, just no go forward with them.

France definitely raised their game today (apart from a shocker of a forward pass after running half the length of the field, I thought Basteraud had his best game for ages), but I'm glad Ireland held on to take the title - I think they've been the most consistent team all series.

I'd love to know what Paul O'Connell is made of. He seems to have been around for ages, must have a skeleton made of titanium & carbon fibre and an engine from a train - he never stops!!!!

Not sure what's happening to Sexton - it's like he's suffering some kind of confidence issue with his kicking that affects him the longer he takes to make the kick. And he seems to be developing a habit of taking a dive, looking for a cheap penalty. He's better than that.

O'Driscoll has been a phenomenal servant of rugby union in general and Ireland and Leinster in particular, but I thought he was pretty quiet today (by his standards).

For one terrible moment, I thought they would award him Player of the Series - thankfully they gave it to Mike Brown, who's been brilliant throughout.

Farrell did OK again today, but had his customary moment of petulant madness with a crap high, off-the-ball tackle.

Johnny May needs to learn to run forward, not crab across the field (and mostly backwards).

I'm not even going to comment on Hogg and his red card....
