Firstly, congratulations to the Scottish pair Neil Fachie and pilot Craig Maclean in getting Gold in the para tandem sprint. BBC Sport - Glasgow 2014: Fachie & Maclean take sprint tandem gold

However, to me, anyway, it looks like the size difference of Fachie compared to others makes it an unequal contest.

The power of Maclean and the light weight and small size of Fachie allows an unfair advantage over other pairs. Clearly it's in the rules, but is Fachie actual making a significant contribution to the pairor is it an able bodied person cycling for two?

When looking at all the other pairings, the para element of the pair appears to make a significant contribution to the overall power.

Still, congratulations.

Look at the gearing on the bike. The pilot has a smaller gear compared to Fachie so most of the power will be coming from Fachie.
