I've also switched from APS-C to FF and back again a few times for the usual reasons.
I've settled on the Sony A7 which I use as both.
The body is still fairly small compared to even a APS-C DSLR so have a couple of fast FF primes, FF f4 zooms and a couple of APS-C lenses, including the 16-50 pancake.
Yes the pancake isn't fantastic quality and it's only 11MP, but it's a relatively compact combo and is good enough when you just want to snap. And obviously the A7 are great with video.
The A7 is obviously small and I'll be the first to admit it's not something you'd want to have a 70-200 f2.8 on all day every day, but I think it's a decent compromise.
I've had a m43 in the past (original PEN) and that was a nice camera, but it wasn't something I could use exclusively because I like shallow DOF (and it was missing a viewfinder) |
