Decent quality discreet/covert camera

Hi.

I need to take some photos of populated city areas, but I don't really want to stand there snapping with people gawping at me, wondering what I'm doing and possibly taking offence. I'll be using the images for hand drawn illustrations, and they don't need to be super-detailed, eg I don't particularly need fine detail down to peoples faces and lettering on buildings, signs etc, more just the approximate shape of figures and their surroundings. Figures at public transport stops, queueing, general hustle & bustle.

Is there a cheap, half-decent camera I can buy that will attach to my front, collar or lapel, possibly that I can use in conjunction with my smart phone to frame shots?

Why not try a selfie stick with your mobile - nobody will probably even notice you.....

Just do what everyone else does then. Hold it in front of you, and act like it's a star trek communicator while pretending to speak into it. No one will take any notice of a phone at all. I don't even get pulled up with a full frame camera, most people are oblivious and you're doing nothing wrong anyway.
