Tripod - Gitzo G1318 MK2 with Manfrotto 625 Hexagonal Plate

Hi all,

I have in my possession a Gitzo G1318 MK2 tripod in remarkable condition, with a Manfrotto 625 hexagonal plate, in a branded sturdy flight case. The tripod and plate are in extremely well preserved condition, the flight case has a few scuffs and marks from storage and moving around I guess, but that's what it was for - at least it served it's purpose and protected it's contents.
This was originally purchased for use in a clinical environment but is not contaminated in any way.

I have absolutely no idea about any of this stuff and was therefore wondering if somebody would be able to advise me on how much it is all worth. It seems a waste sitting around in my loft when somebody else would clearly appreciate this better than I ever would.

A quick eBay search suggests the G1318 is a carbon centre column for the 2,3,4 series tripod.
It's worth about £100-120 on its own.

Again from eBay the Manfrotto 625 hexagonal plate is worth about £15 - the hexagonal adapter is £60 new

You need to find out the other part numbers for the legs to get more of any idea.
Pictures might also help.

If you have no use for it then you may want to take it into a camera shop to get a price and perhaps sell it in a simple operation.

Is it just center column or a complete tripod?

I think there are trading rules we need to follow, can’t remember the details. Do you have the model number? The reference above was just for the center column?
