Microsoft Band 2 or similar?

So i like wearable tech and as someone trying to keep fit the fact it records running etc...is great.
However it is a bit pricey plus i see the battery life is only around 2 days(i just had a Polar M400 which lasted months!)
Is there anything similar out there for a similar price?

Look at the Garmin watches and bands, far more fitness orientated.
