Next lens for Canon M50 ?.

So I have been out of photography for quite a while since selling my Canon 5D (Mk1) and have now decided to jump back in.

As I am looking more at the video side of things now (standard video and vlogging - studio and out and about) I have settled on the Canon M50 (wife acceptable pricing - small and fairly light).  We have a holiday at the end of the year that I will be taking a lot of video and some pics for.

Through selling off some old items I have scraped some cash together and have added the following;
Canon EF-M lends adapter (allowing use of EF-S & EF lenses).Canon EF-S 10-18mm f4.5-5.6Canon EF-M 22mm f2.Rode micGorilla pod (copy).
Now I have some options in front of me (all second user) and am a little stuck as to where to go so am looking for any advice.  I can possibly get both the below Macros but am unsure of the value of doing so or one of the other lenses and possibly a tripod / monopod.

Canon 35mm IS STM f2.8Canon EF-S 60mm f2.8 macroCanon EF 100mm f2.8 MacroCanon 25-105mm IS L f4 (used to have this for the 5D as my walkabout but big and heavy).
Two other wildcards...

Canon EF 100mm IS L f2.8 Fungal damage I am told is not visible apart from on long exposures but repair will double the cost I need to pay for the lens if this does not turn out to be 100% true.Crane Plus gimbal Can get this new with full warranty.Any suggestions / alternatives ?.

Gimbal for video is well worth it.

Which Gimbal would you recommend newbie1? I was looking at the DJI Ronin-S but it's currently not compatible for the Canon M50 (according to their compatibility list). Gutted as I have the Osmo Mobile 2 for my iPhone and am made up with it.

Check out Zhiyun gimbals, Eg the Crane 2 integrates well with canon dslrs, not sure about M50 worth checking.

I actually came across that whilst researching alternatives and there are a few at different price points. With just getting into shooting footage on a dslr I was nervous of purchasing the wrong one! Thanks for the suggestion newbie1

The canon 24-70 F4 IS L may be worth looking at as it has a 0.7x macro setting so can possibly fit both walk about and macro. However 24mm is the equivalent of 38mm on your old 5D so is actually pretty long.

On the cheaper end the old Sigma 17-70 F2.8-4 OS may be worth a look to cover the walk about - almost the same as your old 24-105 on the 5D. These can be picked up fairly cheaply second hand.

The sigma 30 f1.4 Art may also be worth a look or if you can afford it the 35mm f1.4 as na alternative to the canon 35mm f2.8 is.  No idea how quiet the motors are on these for video though.

If you want a small long lens that does not break the bank and you can put up with small apertures then the Sigma 100-400 OS Contemporary is worth a look. I have one on my 6D and have been very please with it.

Thanks for the replies.  Due to an influx of cash (sold off a few old items sitting around the place) I ended up getting the following.

Canon EF-S 60mm Micro
Crane Plus gimbol.

The macro lens is great but with no IS I will save it mainly for product review closeups.

The gimbol I am not sure of yet.  One big downside is not fast mounting plate.  Each time you put the camera on you need to set it up and for storage in its case you have to loosen the axis screws so again, re-setup before any usage.  I also find it tends to float or drift a bit which maybe due to the cameras weight (or lack of).  I need to get more practice and see how I can work with it better.  I have not tried the tracking or time motion features yet as the tracking requires the phone to be mounted on the camera (need a phone mount for the flash shoe).
