Apple Watch bluetooth not finding headphones?

The headphones are fine as other apple devices find them however my Apple Watch can't find them at all, infact the watch  doesn't find other Bluetooth devices which makes me think somethings wrong, any ideas please?

I have a pair of AKG bluetooth headphones. I find though when trying to connect it will always try my i phone or i mac first. Make sure it doesn't connect to any other device. Try settings bluetooth and be prepared to wait for ages then it finds the device and says not paired, press on not paired and it will connect. When you play music it may ask if you want to send audio to apple watch or  iphone.
