New firmware adds eye AF, improved low light AF, AE changes during continuous high extended shooting and auto EFCS. All in all a pretty decent upgrade imo

Also coming at some point is CFexpress card compatibility and support for RAW video output.

Haven't noticed any ill effects, but haven't had chance to try Eye-AF out yet except for the fact it doesn't work on my dog

Yeah, works really well actually as long as the subject is not too far away. It also worked on my friend's dog. His is white with dark eyes as opposed to mine who has dark fur and dark eyes so maybe not enough contrast to pick up the eyes?

Cool. TBH the Z7 is better than I was expecting, the only thing that lets it down is the frame rate when seeing a real time view, ie 5.5fps, but I knew this before I bought it

Yes. Both the Z6 and Z7 have continuous hi which shoots at 5.5fps (12 bit raw, in 14 bit the Z7 drops to 5fps) and has exposure and AF changes from shot to shot and shows a real time view in the viewfinder. They also have continuous hi extended which allows 9/8fps for the Z6/Z7 respectively at 14 but raw, and whilst you get exposure and AF changes you do not get a real-time view in the viewfinder, instead you get a slideshow view which shows the previous shot in succession which makes tracking subjects very hard indeed.
