Apple Watch straps price increase

This is really bugging me a bit

How the hell can Applle justify price hiking the link bracelet up by £100 (from £449 to £549)

The sports bands have also risen from £39 to £49 which isn't very much of a price hike, but how can Apple increase something that has not changed in style, shape or material by £100?

I know all about the £ in today's market but I just think Apple are taking the right P*** with this one !

I don't think we need forum just for the AW....this place is quiet enough as it is without more watering down.

As for the price hike, I think it's a bit of both £/$ and Apple being greedy sods. Still, what can you do.

I picked up a cheap aftermarket strap from Amazon and the quality is actually pretty nice and I'm more than happy with it. Obviously I can't check how well it fits or lasts yet but don't discount non-Apple straps.

I agree - i also have a few non Apple straps and they're great.  I just thought the link may help if someone really wanted an Apple strap

Anyway, I haven't purchased any straps from Apple, we went for the Moko rubber straps on Amazon UK and they are fantastic

My favourite is this colour with the space grey Apple Watch, looks fantastic and at £5.99, you can afford to pick some more colours

Can't believe how much some of the apple straps are. I'm awaiting a 1st gen watch so I'm currently mooching around seeing what alternatives there are to the apple store. Come across some nice looking straps so far.
