AppleCare+ v John Lewis Added Care

Hi there

I'm looking to buy my AW4 from John Lewis as they appear to have a good range of stock in now.  As with my AW2, i'll be looking for some additional insurance cover for accidental damage - previously I purchased AppleCare  but see it is now £89 and you still have an excess to pay.

From looking at John Lewis' Added Care, it's only £40 for Accidental Damage and there is no excess to pay.

Is this a bit of a no brainer - has anyone purchased and used John Lewis' Added Care and if was ok?
