Looking to buy a budget Smartwatch, any advice?

I have been looking around at budget Smartwatches, particularly clones of the Apple Watch, and have come across this:

It seems to fit what I'm looking for, but does anyone actually have one, or is there a better alternative? Just looking for a bit of advice really considering I've never owned a Smartwatch yet!

I certainly don't have the need for a fitness fitness tracker on it, so maybe just to notify me of calls, texts etc

I'm not entirely sure that this is compatible with an iPhone though (I'm not sure if you need it to be?), the phone screen shots seem to show an app that the watch uses - I don't reckon you'll be able to control the apps on your phone using this.

Would help if i put that in the OP that i will be using it with iOS and not Android!
That's why I'm sort of asking on here, if anyone knows of an alternative that will work with an iPhone if this one is no good
