Hi,
I'm looking for a cheap 10" tablet for my dad to use, I seen an Acer b3 A20 I think it's called at £99. Can anyone tell me if this can be tethered to his android mobile so when he's browsing the Internet the cost is taken from his mobile tariff ?.

His phone is an Alcatel pop 4. My parents don't have wifi but we do have 3/4G.

Thanks.

As long as his mobile has the function to tether there's no reason why it shouldn't.

You will eat through your mobile data very quickly if you don't stop the tablet doing updates etc.

Is it really just for web browsing? You can add internet to a landline for just a few quid per month if you are with TalkTalk etc.

I always turn off updates, if anything like that needs doing I will do it on my own wifi.
Yes just for web browsing, it's actually working quite well, I changed his payg Tesco tariff to a 12month sim only plan at £15 for 750 mins/5000 texts and 8GB of Data which I thought wasn't bad.

This is an ok entry level tablet.

It has a long battery life and stock Android OS. With the money saved add a microSD card.

Thanks for the link, I got him the Acer b3 a20 last week at £99 from Argos, he's very pleased and it's not a bad tablet.
