Connect android tablet to tv

Hi,

Hoping someone can give me some help on connecting an android tablet to tv for casual use of iPlayer, my5, 4od, itv player etc.

My old tablet had micro hdmi so easy peasy with cable.  What are the options without it and with just usb otg?

Heard of chrome cast and mirroring but only heard the phrases really, don't know how they work, if they only work with specific apps, or if there's a cheaper wired solution?

Not tried connecting via cable but chrome cast works well if you have spare hdmi's at the back of the tv.

Thanks for reply, looking like chromecast is easiest/best/only option.
