And is it easy to do?

Thinking of picking one of these up cheap to use as a baby monitor for our Nest cam being used in my sons room, but I would need to load stock android to do so.

Any help appreciated

Please ignore me, I see that stock android can’t be loaded onto the newest model but that I should be able to load the google play store which will hopefully do what I need.

How did you get on?  I'm toying with getting a new Amazon Fire HD 10 for my Dad as he's not very tech savvy and the Fire is a much better spec than rivals for the price and I think it might be easier for him to get started with.  However it would be good to be able to load Youtube on it and similar.

Google play store was easy to load onto it.

I followed the instructions here https://lifehacker.com/how-to-get-google-play-on-a-kindle-fire-and-install-any-1790706649
