AMAZON FIRE 7 - NOT RESPONDING TO TOUCH

Hi

I'm trying to set up a newly purchased Fire 7.

I've plugged it in and I'm on a screen that asks me to choose the language option. However; if I touch the drop down arrow nothing happens.

On the same screen are options to choose font size and a 'continue' button. Neither of these buttons respond to touch either. Again; nothing happens.

There appears to be no protective film that stops the touch screen from working.

Switching the Fire 7 on and off has no effect.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I may get my new Fire 7 working?

Hmmm; well after turning the Fire 7 on and off half a dozen times - it now seems to be working.

Weird!
