Amazon Fire HD8 7th Gen issues

Bought one of the forum recently, runs a little hot sometimes when playing games, but it is not an issue.

Bought an official case, but it is the 6th gen, fits perfectly BUT the auto power on off does not work. Not a major problem, but annoying. Did a web chat with Amazon support, they claim the case is the issue, cannot be the tablet.

Anyone seen this issue ?

Probably the magnet in the case is in the wrong position for the model of tablet you've bought.

Thanks, I guessed as much. Would help if they mentioned on their site that although the 6th gen case fits, wake on off will not work
