Can a tablet be connected to an avr

I have a pioneer vxs920 avr which has hdmi inputs (v1.4 I believe)

I want to get a device or tablet that can send the picture and sound (videos stored/recorded on the device) to my projector and home cinema sound system.

I don't have WiFi/internet access.

Can this be done?
Which tablets under £150 can do that?

I'm assuming you'd need a tablet with USB OTG.

Which gives you a HDMI socket.

As for a good cheap tablet, I'd look at Huawei media pads.

For android devices you need a tablet with an mhl usb port.

For apple devices you need to buy the lightning av adaptor.

Both of these allow connections to an avr via HDMI.
