Hi,
I recently purchased a Fire HD 10 (7th Gen 2017), and trying to update the firmware. I’m currently running 5.6.1.0, but having problems updating to 5.6.2.0.
I have done the initial setup and all appeared to go well. It connected to my WiFi and it said it was downloading the latest update, and it would restart upon doing so. Problem is it doesn’t restart, and when I look at my device settings, it still says I’m on 5.6.1.0. It then tries to update the firmware itself, saying downloading 5.6.2.0, but every time it reaches the end of the progress bar, I get a download failed message very briefly, before it begins the download again. This happens in a constant loop, and won’t stop.
I got in touch with Amazon who told me to reset to factory settings, but it did the same thing again. I was then told to update via my PC (not done yet).
I just want to find out why it won’t update over WiFi? I’ve downloaded a few apps which download and install perfectly.
So, does anyone have any ideas what the problem is?
Cheers. |
